There are no make-up, excuse, or second exam rights for the Exemption Exam. Students who freeze their registration for one year at the beginning of the academic year and do not take the exemption exam in the year of enrollment may take the exam held at the beginning of the following academic year.
Students who have previously taken these courses and failed /received an "absent" grade are not eligible to take the exemption exam.
Students who wish to participate must complete the application form published in the CAU360 Student System within the announced application dates. Students who fail to complete the form will not be admitted to the exam.
Students who score 60 points or above in the Exemption Exam will be exempted from English I and English II courses, with the following grade and letter grade equivalencies recorded in their transcripts:

Courses other than English I and English II (such as English III and English IV) are not subject to exemption exams.
For students who register late (e.g., via vertical transfer, additional placement, etc.), the School of Foreign Languages decides whether an additional exemption exam will be organized. First-year students who could not attend the initial exam for any reason may participate in the additional exemption exam.
