Immigration Amnesty
Dear Students,
Within the scope of the Foreigners and Immigration (Amendment) Law No. 27/2026, the 45-day Immigration Amnesty, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on 26 May 2026 and entered into force, will be implemented between 26 May 2026 and 09 July 2026.

Application Process
For Students Currently Residing in the TRNC
Applications must be submitted through the online portal of the TRNC Ministry of Interior via the link below:

Before submitting your application, you must register on the system, create a password, and then complete your application.
For Students Who Have Been Deported or Have an Entry Ban (Temporary Article 37)
Students who have previously been deported or have an entry ban cannot apply individually. Their applications must be submitted through Cyprus Aydın University.
In order to apply, students must have successfully completed at least 50% of the academic credit load of the programme in which they are registered.
Required Documents:
• An official university letter approved by the Ministry of National Education confirming that at least 50% of the programme credits have been completed
• Copy of passport
If Your Application Is Approved
If your application is approved by the Immigration Department:
• You must enter the TRNC within 30 days from the date you receive the approval notification.
• Upon entering the country, you will be required to make a payment equivalent to the current one-month gross minimum wage.
• If the flight ticket used during your previous deportation procedure was covered by the state, you will also be required to pay 1.5 times the cost of that amount to the payment offices of the Revenue and Tax Department.

Please note that the application process may take time. The deadline for applications is 09 July 2026, and applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.
